Ouch!

Yesterday (21-3-2013) I received my App submission feedback.

Ouch!

Unfortunaltely Apple was unable to post this version. The reason was lack of functionality, or as put in the reviewer’s words:

We found that your app only provides a very limited set of features. It only plays a sound when a photo is tapped. While we value simplicity, we consider simplicity to be uncomplicated – not limited in features and functionality.

Maybe the reviewer did not overlook all functions such as the resizing feature on Ducky, moving Ducky and shaking Ducky and the instruments. Ducky Kids also has a drawing feature on board.

The time from “In review” to “reviewed” was about 25 minutes, which should be enough to explore the complete app. But I realize that not only the app features are reviewed. Also all supplied icons, screenshots, ratings etc are under review. Hopefully that was all OK, I actually don’t know.

Ducky Kids is like a luxury rattle toy. And yes, the principle of “Keep it simple” was applied to the design, knowing the targeted group of users: the youngest iPhone users out there.

I was able to submit extra comments to the App Review Board, which I did. Now I’m awaiting the next response and hopefully I’m able to pass the complete chain for this first iOS app I made and hope for many more apps of my hand to follow!

Fingers crossed

This (15-3-2013) morning I submitted the Ducky Kids app to to Apple App Store. At least I did pass all distribution hurdles. Now lets hope an pray the team at Apple is going to accept the application. Since it is a simple app I’m not expecting too many troubles, but no dance and song already for me.

A five minutes website

Thank you for visiting this site! As you may have noticed this looks like a site that has been setup within 5 minutes. Well, that’s exacly what it is. I needed a CMS version update quickly and desided to start all over in WordPress. But lucky you, the most important information about what keeps me busy is available allready.

So what’s keeping me busy at the moment? Well, I’m in the process of finishing an iOS app and submitting it to the Apple App Store. And this means quite some administration and getting all assets right. So if you don’t mind, I’ll continue just right now.
